Arete offers an approach to the Georgia Tuition Tax Credit Scholarship Program that is uniquely need based, family focused, and financially responsible.

Need based.

Arete focuses exclusively on those students facing the greatest obstacles to achievement in the classroom and in life. To receive a full scholarship award, students must be eligible for federal free and reduced lunch.

Family focused.

The uniqueness of children and their learning styles was a crucial fact in the decision of Arete to award scholarships directly to families. Arete empowers families to choose the best school for their children. An Arete scholarship may be used at any eligible and participating private school in Georgia, and the money always follows the child if a transfer is necessary.

Financially responsible.

In 2012-13, the maximum Arete scholarship of $5,000 was based on the state's public school funding formula. On average, school districts saved at least $3,000 for every student receiving the scholarship. In addition, Arete designates approximately 95% of all corporate tax credit contributions for scholarships, exceeding the 90% required by Georgia's tax credit scholarship law.
