2022 Senior Video Essay Contest Winner

In April, we asked our 2022 Arete graduating seniors to submit a video describing the impact private education has had on their life. After reviewing many excellent entries from remarkable young men and women, our team chose Matthew Dormus of Georgia Cumberland Academy. 

Matthew created this touching video detailing the sacrifices his family has made for his education, his appreciation of Arete supporters, and the knowledge and opportunities his school provided him to live a virtuous and courageous life. 

Matthew is currently working at a youth camp in Northern Georgia and will be attending Oakwood University in the fall with a major in business management. Congratulations Matthew! You embody “excellence in action!”
