Arete Employee Spotlight: Opening Doors Through Heart and Purpose

Meet Jonathan, Arete’s Development Director of Georgia. Jonathan plays a vital role in opening doors of opportunity for children across Georgia. He builds meaningful connections with CPAs, wealth advisors, high-net-worth individuals, and small business owners who want to make a lasting difference through charitable giving and the Georgia QEE tax credit.

He also partners closely with leaders of eight mission-driven schools that serve underserved children, helping them connect with businesses that care deeply about the positive impact these schools are making in their communities.

Since joining Arete in July 2024, Jonathan has found joy in bringing together donors, schools, and community leaders with one shared goal—giving children the chance to reach their fullest potential. For Jonathan, philanthropy is more than financial support; it’s about creating moments where donors can see, hear, and feel the difference they’re making—whether through school tours, volunteer programs, or special events where they meet the students and families whose lives they’ve touched.

A graduate of Georgetown University with an MBA from Emory University, Jonathan treasures travel experiences, with Munich, Germany, topping his list for its rich history and culture. Outside of his work at Arete, he leads a North Point men’s group, participates in international mission trips, and will soon celebrate 30 wonderful years of marriage with his wife.
