Arete Employee Spotlight: Shaping Community with Light and Focus

Meet Tyejeree, Arete’s Community Engagement Director for Louisiana. In her role, she helps strengthen the Arete Scholars community by creating meaningful moments that bring people together. Her warm presence and genuine care make families feel welcomed, supported, and truly connected.

Since joining Arete in July, Tyejeree has loved getting to know students and their families as they pursue access to quality education. Walking alongside them as they grow, achieve, and overcome challenges has been one of her greatest joys.

With a B.A. in Family and Consumer Science and a concentration in Child Development, she brings valuable expertise in family engagement—insight that continues to enrich and strengthen our community. She’s also a first-generation college graduate, a milestone that fuels her passion for empowering others.

Outside of work, Tyejeree enjoys traveling, spending time with loved ones, and bowling.
