Arete Families Take Part in MLB All-Star Excitement

Last week, a few of our Arete families got a front-row seat to one of baseball’s most exciting moments, the MLB All-Star Week. Thanks to the incredible generosity of Major League Baseball and the Atlanta Braves, our students and their parents were treated to an unforgettable experience packed with joy, celebration, and inspiration.

From the HBCU Swingman Classic to the Capital One All-Star Village, our families were immersed in the magic of the sport. For many of them, this wasn’t just their first time attending All-Star festivities—it was their first time experiencing the electric energy of a major league event. The smiles, laughter, and wide-eyed wonder spoke volumes. It was more than just baseball. It was a memory they’ll carry for a lifetime.

We’re especially grateful to our longest-standing donor, WM, the official sustainability partner of Major League Baseball. WM has stood by our mission for years, and their continued support makes moments like this possible. Their commitment to building a more sustainable and equitable future goes far beyond the field. It shows up in the lives of our students every day, opening doors to opportunity and inspiration.

At Arete, we believe that education happens everywhere. Not just in classrooms, but in the experiences that shape a child’s sense of possibility. All-Star Week was one of those moments. For our families, it was a celebration of how far they’ve come and a reminder of all that’s still ahead.
