Public Information Session in Baton Rouge

Your child may be eligible for up to $4,900 in tuition assistance to the private K-12 school of your choice. 

Learn more about K-12 private school scholarships from Arete Scholars at our Public Information Session on April 16th, 2023, at the Studyville academic workspace in Baton Rouge. This event is a wonderful opportunity for you to learn more about our scholarship program which has been serving children in economically disadvantaged families in Louisiana since 2013.

During the Public Information Session, you will have the chance to meet with Arete’s dedicated team, ask questions about eligibility, and receive assistance in filling out your application. You will also have the opportunity to ask questions and learn more about our mission and services, including additional services provided by partner organizations such as our friends at Studyville.

We believe that our Public Information Session will give you a better understanding of the wonderful education and opportunities Arete Scholars provides, and we encourage you to bring your family and friends along to share in this experience.

Our friends at Studyville will be serving refreshments and offering free homework assistance for kids during the Arete Scholars event.


About Our Scholarship Our Scholarship Program

Maximum scholarship amounts: $4,350 for grades K-8; or $4,900 for grades 9-12.

Application period: February 28, 2023, through May 31, 2023 (or sooner if application limit reaches 3,000)

To be eligible for a scholarship in Louisiana, a student must meet the following income, residency, and prior school year requirements.

Scholarships are provided on a first-applied, first-awarded basis as funds are available, with priority given to current Arete, TDC, and Louisiana State Scholarship recipients.

  1. Louisiana resident, AND
  2. Attended a public school in Louisiana on October 1 & February 1 of the 2022-23 school year, OR
  3. Entering kindergarten in 2023-24, OR
  4. Received a TDC or Louisiana Scholarship Program award in 2022-23, AND
  5. Family income less than the following maximum amounts:
