Arete Scholars Take on WWII Museum Leadership Academy
This July, six outstanding Arete scholars, four from Louisiana and two from Georgia, embarked on an unforgettable journey to New Orleans for a week-long leadership academy hosted by The National WWII Museum.
Thanks to a full scholarship provided in partnership with the Museum, including travel and accommodations, these students had the opportunity to grow both personally and intellectually. Over the week, they were immersed in interactive leadership simulations rooted in history, exploring real-world decision-making through the lens of World War II.
Each student was challenged to think critically about leadership strategies, both large-scale and interpersonal, as they encountered complex ethical dilemmas and even no-win scenarios. The experience pushed them to reflect on their own values, leadership styles, and the impact of their choices on others.
Our Louisiana team had the pleasure of spending time with these remarkable students over dinner the evening before the academy began. From standout athletes to trusted student ambassadors, each one represents the heart of what it means to be an Arete Scholar—driven, resilient, and full of potential.
We’re deeply grateful to our partners at The National WWII Museum for making this experience possible. Their commitment to educational enrichment continues to open powerful doors for our scholars, and we look forward to creating even more meaningful learning opportunities together in the future.
