Embracing Gratitude: Celebrating the Season of Thanks
During this season of thanks, the Arete team had the incredible privilege of visiting schools to share our gratitude with the families we serve. Each visit was filled with warmth, kindness, and a deep sense of community.
We began our journey at Solid Foundation Christian Academy in Stone Mountain, Georgia, where we were able to present deserving families with Arete Thanksgiving baskets. These baskets, filled with baking supplies and a $50 food gift card, were intended to help ease the financial burden of preparing a Thanksgiving meal, offering a small but meaningful way to show our appreciation.
The following week, we continued our journey in Louisiana, visiting Our Lady of Prompt Succor and Holy Name of Jesus in New Orleans, and Jesus the Good Shepherd in Monroe. There, we distributed 15 Thanksgiving baskets, each thoughtfully curated with a gingerbread house activity to help create lasting memories. Along with the baskets, we included gift cards to further alleviate the stress of the season, allowing families to focus on what truly matters—togetherness.
These past few weeks have been nothing short of inspiring for our team. In all, we presented 19 families and 25 students with Thanksgiving baskets. It has been such a joy to engage with the amazing families we serve and witness firsthand the impact of our efforts.
There’s something deeply fulfilling about knowing we’ve helped ease the burden of meal preparation and provided a fun, creative activity for families to enjoy together. We are beyond grateful for the opportunity to serve these families and so many more, and we are honored to support them through the Arete Scholarship. It is a privilege to be a part of their journey, and we look forward to continuing to serve.
